Thursday the 12th is the second bonus level of Gex: Enter The Gecko. Gex must collect 50 skulls while traversing a maze of doors in order to retrieve the gold remote.
Strategy[]
This level is fairly linear in its design, and consists of 12 floors. Each floor has an assortment of doors, but only one will take you to the next set of skulls. The strategy behind completing this level is figuring out which doors are bogus, and which ones will take you to the next floor. Normally this is a matter of guessing, but this map helps remove all of the guesswork. Each door labelled "In" is where you should enter, and each door labelled "Out" is where you'll exit. This process goes floor by floor until you reach the top floor (so each "In" corresponds with the "Out" on the floor above it). Doors marked with "Fly" lead you into a small room with a 1-UP Fly TV. As long as you follow this map, you should complete the level without much trouble. Do keep in mind though that chandeliers will drop after standing on them for a period of time. So you will want to jump off of them immediately. Otherwise, you'll drop down to the previous floor. Also, be careful not to venture too close to the edge of a floor, as you'll likely fall off and have to start all over. Once you reach the top floor, you should collect the last skull and unlock the exit TV. Make your way over to it, snag the golden remote, and exit through the TV. You will have successfully completed the level.
