The Staff of Ra is a mission-based collectible featured in Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko. It is an item exclusive to a mission in Tut TV. There are three staffs in total. Each staff is obtained by defeating a Mummy hidden throughout the level. Once defeated, the enemy drops the staff. Upon collecting the staff, it teleports to a pedestal and shines a beam of light at a wall in a room. Once all three staffs are collected, their combined power creates a crack in the wall. Entering through this crack takes the player to another room that contains the remote for this objective.
Trivia[]
- The 'Ra' in the staff's name refers to the Egyptian deity of the same name. Ra was the Egyptian sun god, and one of the most important gods in ancient Egyptian culture. This would explain the staff's "solar" qualities.
- This is the only mission-based item in Tut TV that must be physically collected in order to complete the objective (as opposed to the Lost Ark, which only needs to be opened by defeating an enemy).
