- Voice actors were different depending on the region.
- For PAL releases, Gex was voiced by Leslie Phillips.
- For NTSC-J releases, Gex and Rez were both voiced by Mitsuo Senda.
- Strangely, one can hear Bruce Robertson's evil laugh during the game's logo screen.
- Each region received re-written jokes and/or brand new jokes.

Textures[]
- For Japan, all English based posters and markings in the game were replaced with simple images or removed all together.
- This also includes the level's TV Screens. Due to this, the only way to view the Japanese names for levels is during the mission select screen:
- Scream TV's logo was heavily edited when compared to other Screens in the game.
- The background was changed to a blood red color.
- The sword in the skull's head was instead placed on the upper left side.
- Circut Central's logo was slightly edited.
- The view of the circuit board is more top down when compared to English releases.
- Rezopolis's Screen was slightly edited.
- To accommodate for the missing text, static electricity was added in-between Rez's hands.
- Channel Z's logo was heavily edited when compared to other Screens in the game.
- Rez's head was placed more towards the bottom right corner and he was given a neck and body to accommodate for the missing text.
- Scream TV's logo was heavily edited when compared to other Screens in the game.
- This also includes the level's TV Screens. Due to this, the only way to view the Japanese names for levels is during the mission select screen:
