Fvilla1 is a cut fairy tale-themed level from Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko. It is playable in the December 30, 1998 PlayStation prototype under the N64 level section. However, no such level appears in the N64 version of the released game. Due to its mission select screen being triggered in Slappy Valley. It's assumed that, this level would have appeared replacing the Fairytales TV which is present in the PS1 version.

Description[]

The level took place in a fairy tale village at nighttime. Gex had the Little Red Riding Hood costume in this stage, although he lacked the cape and his gliding animation was incomplete. Among the enemies encountered here were card soldiers from Alice in Wonderland and a large, goose-like bird. Hitting the card soldier would make him turn into two smaller versions of himself. Hitting the small card soldiers defeats them immediately. As for the bird, it will run around wildly when Gex gets too close. Hitting the goose twice will defeat it. Humpty Dumpty was also supposed to appear, albeit in an unknown capacity.

Of all the stages that were cut from the game, this one was the least finished, with several buildings lacking textures of any kind. This includes most of the large castle at the end of the stage, which, given its placement in the level, implies it would have housed a remote. Rapunzel's hair functioned as a climbable surface that Gex could use to advance upward, with slices of blueberry pie acting as floating platforms. Gex could enter several houses in this level, one of which features the Three Bears sleeping in their beds. Unlike the other bears, Papa Bear has an animation implying that someone is jumping on top of him. This infers that the Three Bears could be jumped on to collect various collectibles such as Golden Flies.

Oddly enough, elements of Fvilla1 would end up surviving long enough to make it into the finished product. For instance, the Little Red Riding Hood costume this level would have incorporated replaced the Jack costume that would have been used in the Jack and the Beanstalk variation of the level while the presumed title of this stage, "Red Riding in the Hood", was used in the Playstation's version of the Jack and the Beanstalk stage.
