This article is dedicated to marketing displays such as cardboard standees and display cards that advertise each game in the series. Each display is categorized by the game advertised.
Gex[]
Gex PlayStation Standee[]

Gex PlayStation Standee from PeteDorr's video
This is a cardboard standee that promotes the PlayStation release of Gex. It is a blown up version of the game's cover with a small bubble stating: "Available now! On the PlayStation game console." This standee can be propped using the stand on the back or can be hung up like a poster. It is unclear what store featured this standee. The only footage available of the standee is from a collection video done by YouTuber, PeteDorr, showcasing some of the cool video game items he owns.
Gex Counter Standee[]

Gex cardboard counter display standee
This is a small cardboard standee that promotes the release of Gex on the PlayStation and Sega Saturn. It is approximately 10 inches tall, and was commonly displayed on game store counters during the game's promotion. It features a cutout of Gex from the game's cover, as well as the game's title and a small bubble stating: "Available on the PlayStation game console and the Sega Saturn systems." The display pictured recently sold on eBay for $264.
Gex Cutout Display[]

This is a large cardboard display standee similar to the counter standee that also promotes the PlayStation and Sega Saturn release of Gex. It features a life-size cutout of Gex in his iconic cover pose, as well as the game's logo and a small bubble stating: "Available on the PlayStation game console and the Sega Saturn systems." The image of this display was provided by Reddit user, u/amanwhodoesbadthings, who currently is the only person known to own this particular standee. The owner's recollection of how they obtained this display, where it came from, and where it was displayed are all unclear. However, they do believe they acquired it from a convention they attended some time ago.[1] It is uncertain if the standee was on display at this convention and the owner acquired it after the convention was over, or if it was being sold and it was purchased by its current owner. This display standee was likely used at conventions and stores to promote the game's multi-platform release.
Vidpro Display Card[]

Front of display card
This is a store display card made by Vidpro. These display cards were common in retail stores such as Toys 'R' Us, and were used instead of game cases to sell the featured game. Each card displayed the front and back of the game's box art. If a customer wanted to purchase the game, they had to grab a slip of paper located near the display card and take it to the store counter. In exchange, they would receive a copy of the game. Most of these cards were usually destroyed once the game was no longer sold in stores. However, on rare occasions, some store employees did keep these. And this is how some of them survive to this day.
Gex: Enter the Gecko[]

Gex: Enter the Gecko Standee[]
This is a cardboard standee that was used to promote the PS1 release of Gex: Enter the Gecko. It also teases the upcoming release of the N64 port. The standee is approximately 6 feet tall and consists of a cutout of Gex from the game's cover transposed between a woman's legs. A few gameplay screenshots can also be seen along the bottom of the standee. The standee is made of thick cardboard, and appears to fold in half (or at least was folded in half at some point). It was distributed by Midway Home Entertainment. According to the seller of this particular standee on ebay, it was never displayed in store and is one of a kind. No reason was given as to why it was never displayed in a store. As this is the only listing of this standee, the current estimated value of this standee is $1,000.[2]
Gex 64 Standee[]

Gex 64 Standee
This is a cardboard standee used to advertise the release of Gex 64: Enter the Gecko. It features a large cut-out of Gex from the game's cover, as well as some promotional images and the game's logo. It is unknown what store featured this standee. This is the only image that exists of this standee currently. Even though there is measuring tape next to it, due to the image's quality it is difficult to make out the size of the standee.

Gex 3 Cutout Display[]
This display was shared by @LittleShiloh91 on Twitter. It was posted with their permission by the Gex Facts Twitter account on April 4th, 2021.[3] The owner purchased the display from a Hollywood store before it went out of business. This is currently the only image of this standee, and so far the only Gex 3 standee that has been photographed. This standee is a cardboard cutout of the Austin Powers Gex promotional render. While it is hard to tell from the image provided, the standee is most likely being propped up by its stand on the back and not by the wall.
Vidpro Display Card[]

Similar to the display card for Gex, this card was made by Vidpro and was used to sell Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko in retail stores such as Toys 'R' Us.
