Bundle of Funny Money

Bundles of Funny Money are mission-based items featured in Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko. It is an item exclusive to a mission in Gangster TV. There are five stacks scattered through out the level, and the player must destroy them to complete the objective. The piles of fake money are fairly solid and cannot be damaged by Gex's tail whip. The only way to destroy them is with the use of a fire fly power-up. This allows the player to spit out a fire ball and ignite the money stack. Thus, disintegrating it in the process.

Trivia

• As the name "Funny Money" might suggest, it is a bundle of fraudulent cash, referencing the production and distribution of counterfeit money in organised crime.
• This is the only mission-based item in the game that cannot be destroyed by Gex's tail whip and requires the use of a power-up.
• In the eariler prototypes of the game, the funny money can be destoryed using the tail whip, tail bounce or karate kick. This was altered in the retail release.
